We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All API requests are encrypted via HTTPS. Our backend infrastructure is hosted on a well-known trusted platform that provides secure, cloud-based environments with automatic HTTPS, container isolation, and encrypted storage.
We do not use data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models. All data accessed via Google Workspace APIs is used solely to provide and improve the specific functionality of our Workspace Add-on, in compliance with Google’s API Services User Data Policy.
We do not retain document content or any other Workspace-related data beyond the immediate processing window. Users can request permanent deletion of all retained information (i.e., email address) by contacting support at [email protected].
When you use “Plagiarism Guard” for the first time, you’ll be asked to accept the minimum-required permissions.

“Plagiarism Guard” is integrated with G Suite apps like Google Docs™ and Google Slides™. It requires access to the current documents a user is viewing. “Plagiarism Guard” only requests the minimum-required permissions that are essential for it to function optimally. “Plagiarism Guard” does not have access to your Google account or your password, only to your email info.
Absolutely. If you need to review the permissions you granted to “Plagiarism Guard”, you can do so by going to Google Account -> Third-party apps with account access -> Manage third-party access. There, you can change or revoke the permissions.
